Michael Tsegaye, born 1975, Addis Ababa, is an Ethiopian artist and photographer. As a Creative Fusion artist in residence, hosted by the Cleveland Foundation and the Cleveland Print Room for the Waterways to Waterways project (2018-2019), he photographed the length of the Cuyahoga River by helicopter, following it from the mouth of Lake Erie to the headwaters in Geauga County. His images of the Flats, which capture the many moods of the river, offer a unique perspective on the industrial areas of the city. His work is included as postcards in the exhibition and appears courtesy of the Cleveland Foundation.
