Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Cleveland Public Library. The month honoring the culture takes place from September 15 – October 15. Our family fun programs will focus on the rich history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic Americans.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations
“Travel” to a different country or location each week. This intergenerational program will explore the vast diaspora of Hispanic Heritage. We’ll learn about local history, explore fun games, and create unique crafts. Cleveland READS! readers can add more books to their reading total by checking out books by Hispanic authors/illustrators all month long.

Teen Fall Film Series
Share in the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and join us for the viewing of Almost a Woman, based on a book by Esmeralda Santiago. Almost a Woman is an autobiographical story based on the life of Esmeralda “Negi” Santiago that follows the young “Negi” as she struggles to adjust to life in NYC after moving from her native Puerto Rico.
